Here is the schedule for Get Lei’d for Kenny on Saturday, December 4, 2021.
Kenny was a son, a brother, a friend, a soldier and so much more. In 2005, at 22 years old, he made the ultimate sacrifice for our country when he was killed in Iraq. One of Kenny’s lifelong friends shared his story at the dinner table of a Fire Station in Phoenix and an idea was born to honor Kenny in a Hawaiian themed event that was appropriately named “Get Lei’d for Kenny” (GLFK). Since 2012 GLFK has turned in to more than event…it has turned in to a community. This community travels the world with the numerous GLFK Event Shirts and proudly honors Kennys memory by capturing pictures in the shirt around the globe. Every fall we put our heads together to host an event that ensures the Schall family and the world knows that Kenny may be gone, but he will never be forgotten.
Cousin Curtiss joined in 2019, but the consensus was clear among the GLFK community…we need an encore! Hailing from Telluride, CO you may have seen him at Gorrono Ranch while on the slopes. If you’ve never seen his show you are in for a treat. He can play nearly every instrument under the sun…at the same time…and many say that his voice is the songbird of our generation. Make sure to check him our on IG @cousincurtiss
All proceeds from GLFK9 will be split between C4 Foundation and Helping Hands for Freedom. Both of these organizations have Arizona roots and do incredible work for those who serve our country and their families. To learn more about the work done by these organizations visit their websites below. We hope you are as excited as we are to raise money for both of these great organizations!

The Honor Guard in any branch of service ensures that our loved ones are never forgotten. The Phoenix Fire Dept. Honor Guard honors our fallen during funeral services and countless other ceremonies throughout the year. They also volunteer their time to perform every year at GLFK. If you are a firefighter and would like to know more about how you can join either of these two organizations please reach out! Even if you’ve never played an instrument or been part of an Honor Guard, they can teach you anything you’d like to do!

Ben and his team are as good as it gets in the Valley Real Estate industry. However, he doesn’t sponsor GLFK for advertisement, he sponsors because he is a member of the GLFK community and he loves attending as much as everyone else. We’ve asked Ben for support every year for the last 4 years and every year he’s stepped up and went BIG on sponsoring! That said, Ben’s experience and resources are available if you need them in what is a CRAZY real estate market these days. Thank you Ben for making GLFK9 possible!

Every year Pete buys 25 GLFK event shirts in random sizes and gives them away to friends and family so that they can attend. This year he is just making his support of the event official and becoming a sponsor. Aside from being a great guy, Pete is an exceptionally talented HVAC (Air Conditioning) technician. He will treat your house like his own and not put any product on your house he wouldn’t have on his own. His prices are fair and his work is unbeatable, call him with any of your Air Conditioning needs.

Veteran owned, and a long time partner of GLFK, we couldn’t be more excited about having the event return to this location. The staff who work at these places have become like family and go the extra mile every year for us at Get Lei’d for Kenny.
